Industrial Distributors International Company TM SM, and IDICO Colombia S.A.S TM SM (collectively, “IDICO”TM SM or “We”) are a company which holds rights to certain proprietary distribution relationships, that is also involved in the business of product source consulting and sourcing, engineering consulting services, transportation logistics services and other delivery processes and formulae, distribution channels; and other tailored services to source and deliver mechanical equipment and machined products; which as a part of its business model, uses an Internet-based e-commerce business portal, providing services and products, fulfillment or orders, consulting and management services, for its machinery using customers who wish to use our services and partners’ products in their business operations worldwide.  As a prospective customer of IDICO’s services and its alliance partners’ products, you may now or in the future be able to access an online/Internet web account profile created by you for business with is, which would include contact information and account status with us. In such an event, you also would be able to access and update your personal/company profile.

The privacy and security of your and your company’s personal and corporate (including financial) information is very important to us.

  • We do not sell your information to third parties for any reason.
  • We do not disclose your information to unaffiliated third parties who may want to offer you their own products and services unless you have requested or authorized us to do so.
  • We may (in rare instances) share your information with third parties or affiliates only where it is necessary for us to provide you with the services you have requested, based on our relationships with third party suppliers (for example), to collect payment, or do something that you have asked us to do.

At Industrial Distributors International Company, we believe it is important to protect the privacy of our customers, as well as the privacy of visitors to the Web Site. We know that you care about how your personal and corporate information is collected, updated, used and shared, and we want to help you make knowledgeable choices about the information you provide to us.

This Privacy Policy and Notice (the “Privacy Policy”) explains and summarizes how we collect, use and protect your personal information as you interact with us directly, by phone, online, through our customer support services, and from or through independent third parties (online or otherwise). This Privacy Policy applies to IDICO’s operations both in and outside of the United States and to its Web Sites located at www.idico.comTM SM (whether capitalized on in lower case type, collectively, the “Web Sites”) and various other related and pending trade, product and service marks and patents as well as to any and all supplemental pages, platforms or blogs initiated, owned or operated by IDICO. This Privacy Policy also applies to other Web Sites which may be operated by legal affiliates, transferees or assignees of IDICO, whether or not they are linked to the Web Site as of the effective date of this statement or at some future date.

By using our services and/or our Web Site, you, and all those authorized users in your office which are listed in registration on this site, consent to the collection and use of your personal information by IDICO consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy and data protection laws.

The Privacy Policy may change over time.

Our Privacy Policy may change over time, at any time and from time to time, as we seek to improve the services we provide. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on our Web Site. We encourage you to refer to the Privacy Policy from time to time to stay abreast of our most current practices. If you are an existing alliance partner of IDICO and have a web profile and account with us, we will attempt to notify you of material changes to our Privacy Policy. Your use of our services, continued access and use of any one or more of the Web Sites, subscription to any of our publications, membership to the IDICO site and IDICO’s products and/or services is consideration for and constitutes your acceptance of the current Privacy Policy and any future changes to it.  You understand that this Privacy Policy is not intended to and shall not create any independent contractual or other legal right on your behalf, or on the behalf of any other person in your reservation party.

  • What information IDICO gathers from you or will otherwise be available about you.
  • How IDICO uses the information you share with us and that we learn about you because of your relationship with us.

Types of information IDICO may collect about you.

IDICO reserves the right to collect information that you provide to us or that we learn about you from the use of our Web Site, whether you access us directly or through linked Web Sites, or that you have otherwise consented to and released to us per independent agreement. We may receive and store information you enter on any one or more of the Web Sites or give to us in any other way.  For example, you may provide information to us when you request further information about us or about our products and services on the Web Site, order a product or service, enter into a written agreement (online or otherwise) with us, or make a customer service request or inquiry for an ancillary product or service. As a result of those actions, you might supply us with such information as your name, age, address, phone number, email address, credit/debit card or bank account information, business corporate or tax identification number, merchant identification number(s), driver’s license, insurance coverage information, service or product preferences, information on licensed users in your office, etc. We also automatically receive and store certain types of information whenever you visit our site. We might also receive information about you from other sources, such as in communicating with you regarding special offers that we think will be of interest to you, and we may add that information to the information we collected about you.

How we use information about you.

We may use general identifying information we have collected about or of you to provide you with the products and other services of our company or related companies, to respond to customer inquiries and complaints, to maintain and collect payment on your account with us, to enforce your agreements with us, and to provide you with marketing and promotional information about products and services we believe are of interest to you, or to market our products, services and brand. We do not sell your information to third parties for any reason. We do not disclose your information to unrelated third parties who may want to offer you their own products and services unless you have requested or authorized us to do so. We may share your personal information with third parties or related entities where it is necessary for us to provide you with the services you have requested, collect payment, or do something that you have asked us to do.

By accessing and using this site, you understand and agree that we may at some point share your information to third party providers with whom we have an independent business alliance. Companies that we do business with to enhance the services and products we provide to you.  In such an event you hereby agree to indemnify us for any damages which occur as the result of any breach by a third-party provider of ours.

We may disclose personal information about our customers as specifically agreed to by you and us in an independent agreement, permitted or required by law, to protect against fraud or security hazards, and in connection with a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy of our company, if any. IDICO may be required to disclose your personal information if it: (i) believes it is reasonably necessary to comply with relevant (we reserve to determine what is “relevant” as our sole discretion) federal or state laws, legal process, such as a court order, subpoena, or search warrant, or other legal requirements of any governmental authority; (ii) would potentially mitigate our liability in an actual or potential lawsuit; (iii) is otherwise necessary to protect our rights or property; or (iv) is necessary to protect your interests or those of other users of our Web Site or services. If IDICO should ever file for bankruptcy or merge with another company, or if IDICO should decide to buy, sell or reorganize part or all of its business, IDICO may be required to disclose your personal information to prospective or actual purchasers or receive personal information from sellers. It is IDICO’s practice to seek appropriate protection for information disclosed or received in these types of transactions. IDICO cannot, however, guarantee that IDICO’s Privacy Policy will remain unchanged if IDICO is sold or merges with another company.  By accessing this Web Site or any affiliate of ours’ site, you hereby consent to these terms.

To summarize, we will not share your personal information with third parties unless:

  • it is or becomes necessary for us to provide you with the products or services you have requested, collect payment, provide accounting support, process payment or orders, or do something else that you have asked us to do;
  • it is or becomes necessary to allow our product and service providers or agents to provide services for us;
  • it is or becomes necessary in order to provide our products and services to you or contact you for such purpose;
  • it is being given to other related affiliates or subsidiaries (if any) of IDICO;

  • in connection with the sale, merger, receivership or bankruptcy of our business;
  • it is or becomes necessary to process payments from you;

  • otherwise as is required by law.

IDICO collects and may use personal information from you in several other ways:

Web Site Usage. IDICO, or IDICO authorized service providers with whom we have or may have a business relationship may now or in the future as a result of further business developments of our company, be able to observe your activities, preferences, and transactional data (such as your IP address, browser type and operating system) relating to your use of our Web Site. While we may collect or log this information, we generally do not identify you or match this information with your other personal information. We may use this collected or logged information in order to provide better service, facilitate our customers’ use of the Web Site, track usage of the Web Site, and to address security hazards. IDICO, or one of our authorized service providers, also may use this information to track aggregate traffic patterns throughout our Web Site. We may use aggregated, statistical information to describe our customer audience, products and services, and to develop partnerships with third parties to offer products and services in which we believe our customers will be interested.

We may disclose anonymous, non-specific and non-personal information at any time to any one of our choosing, including but not limited third party suppliers or other third parties for marketing and other business purposes. For example, we may provide information to advertisers and commercial partners about the size and demographic composition of our user base.

Online or Off-line Transactions. You may be asked to share personal information in order to open a web account, web profile complete a transaction with us, or when you use our Web Site. For example, when you ask and instruct IDICO to facilitate fulfillment and delivery of IDICO or affiliate products or services for you over the Internet through our Web Site, telephone or otherwise, or create a user ID and password for account membership or to receive our correspondence, reports or other materials, you may be asked for information needed to complete your order, contact you to confirm the order, and provide related customer service. This information is used, for example, to effectuate your transactions, create and share aggregate reports about these transactions, and perform financial fraud screening services for transactions between you and IDICO and/or our authorized service providers.  If we decide that certain additional transactions can in the future be accomplished online, we will advise you of the same, and continue to assist you in the protection your account information with us.

Minors.

By accessing this Web Site, you, and all those listed in your office’s authorized users’ profile with us, have certified that each person is 18 years or age or older (where any age over 18 years is required to enter into a legally binding contract).  Any person under eighteen (18) years of age or the required minimum age in such given country, if over 18 (a “Minor”) should not access or use this Web Site, send any information about themselves to IDICO, or direct that such information be sent. If a Minor submits information through any part of IDICO’s Web Site or otherwise provides such information to IDICO, and we learn that the person submitting the information is a Minor, we will attempt to delete this information as soon as possible. Because we do not knowingly collect any personal information from Minors, we do not use or disclose such information to third parties.

This Privacy Policy applies to all customers/clients under United States law.

This Privacy Policy applies to customer relationships established in the United States, whether users are physically present within the United States, or abroad. Although our Web Site is intended for worldwide visitors, our Web Site originates and is deemed to be hosted in the United States.  Parts of this Privacy Policy may not apply to persons visiting our Web Site outside the United States because, for example, those jurisdictions may have privacy laws which differ from those of the United States. If you are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. privacy and data protections laws and which may be more stringent than those U.S. laws, by visiting our Web Site and providing us with personal information, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer to and processing of your personal information in the United States.

Under the laws of some states in the United States, residents of such states have the statutory right to request certain third-party business information from businesses with whom the customer has an established business relationship. Our security practices.

Our internal data security policies restrict access to customers’ personal information to authorized employees, agents and subcontractors with a “need to know,” and we train such persons on the protection of your information. These persons may use our customers’ personal information for IDICO business purposes only. Our employees are bound by our policies to maintain the confidentiality of our customers’ personal information. Employees who violate their confidentiality obligations are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

We (ourselves and/or through third-party technology service providers) maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that are designed to guard our customers’ information. For example, we may make use of secure server software and firewalls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Information is maintained within a secure network server environment. We may also use encryption techniques and/or authentication procedures. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or internal security system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, IDICO cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you, and all those listed in your reservation party with you, do so at your own risk, and cannot ensure or warrant the security measures put in place by any IDICO third party supplier of products or services.

In the event of a breach of the confidentiality or security of your information in our systems, we may attempt to notify you as necessary by email or other means, so you can take appropriate protective steps. By using our Web Site or providing personal information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of our site or your account with us. Unless you indicate otherwise, or we agree with you as to other terms in a written agreement, we may notify you using the most current email address you provided to us.

What are cookies and how does IDICO use them?

We may use “cookies” to collect or log certain information. A cookie is a small piece of information that a Web Site stores on a personal computer or mobile device and which it can later retrieve. We may use cookies for some administrative purposes, for example, to store our alliance partners’ preferences for certain kinds of products or services, or to store a password so that you do not have to input it every time you visit our Web Site. The cookies will not contain information that will enable anyone to contact our customers via telephone, email, or any other means. If our customers are uncomfortable with the use of cookie technology, they can set their browsers to refuse cookies. Certain of our services, however, could be dependent on cookies and our customers may disable those services by refusing cookies.

Contemplated use of links to third party sites and web sites containing IDICO branding, or which are referenced on IDICO’s site(s).

Although not contemplated for the immediate future, our Web Site may in the future, as a result of marketing strategies and efforts (whether for marketing communications, contests, special offers, sweepstakes or other promotions), contain links to or from third party sites, some of which may provide services related to IDICO’s services, and some of which may merely be for advertising other unrelated products or services.  Please be aware, however, that IDICO is not and will not be responsible for and cannot and will not control the privacy policies of these other sites, or their practices, and you agree to indemnify us for any damages suffered by use of such third-party sites, as indicated elsewhere herein. We encourage you to read the privacy policies for these other sites, as they may differ from ours.

Our Web Site may also in the foreseeable future contain links to or from sites that display IDICO branding and/or IDICO’s logo or copyrighted materials, or IDICO’s product names, product marks, service marks, or logo but which are maintained by third parties. Such Web Sites may be identified in that they do not display an “idico.com” (or similar) primary URL. Please read the privacy policy on such sites for applicable privacy practices relating to personal information collected via those sites, as they may differ from IDICO’s privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies solely to personal information collected by IDICO.

You have certain choices when it comes to how IDICO uses your personal or corporate information. You may choose not to receive information about new services and special promotional offers from us. If you elect not to receive such marketing information or publications, IDICO may continue to contact you as necessary to service your account.
